Foreign wines

Foreign wines are coming to Casino, Auchan, Carrefour and Le Petit Ballon
For a long time, sales of foreign wines in France didn’t make the headlines. But department managers have noticed things are changing. The millennium generation – well-travelled and less chauvinist than their parents - are more open to buy foreign wines. Consequently, Casino, Auchan, Carrefour and on the Le Petit Ballon’s website you can find a dedicated area or a theme in store about them. Auchan puts forward wines from New Zealand, South Africa, Chile, Italy and Spain, while Casino has selected wines from the American continent like the zinfandel rosé from California (sold €5.95) to the 1865 Carmenere San Pedro of 2015 sold for €11.95.
For some times, foreign wines were not good value for money compared to French wines, freight prices adding on an extra cost. This is not the case anymore.
